Santiago de Compostela

After more or less 1300 km and exactly one month we finally arrived in Santiago yesterday night.

As you probably realised we properly disconnected and did not get to the Internet for a long period of time so here we are again ready to share some pics and stories with you:-)

Right now we are drinking two “claras con limon”(the most expensive ones we had in the whole trip!!!) at the Bar El Casino with WIFI and shadowy terrace (it´s said to be the hottest spot of Spain today in Santigo, and it really feels like that).

  1. 1.300km?! Bloody hell… It’s a pleasure following your progress – a bit like a weird computer game and not quite real. We miss you guys a lot; summer has finally arrived in Düsseldorf and we spend a lot of time on the Rheinwiesen next to the Rheinterassen. You’d snug in neatly, to say the least. If you need a holiday from cycling, please surf our couch (i.e. stay at our’s at your leisure)!

You’re getting closer to the French border – any clue how long it will take you till St. Jean de Luz or any of the sacred places following it in a northerly direction? Are you going to pass that place by anyways? Please let us know. And travel safely!

    Cheerio,

    Christian

  2. Hi Bea and Jose, Congratulations!!! Well done, you deserve that drink!! Wow what a great jouney you have had. We are now in Adge on the French Mediterranean and heading to Carcasonne tomorrow. Will be in St Jean du Luz from 11th – 15th July. Do you know roughly when you’ll be there or anywhere close by? It would be wonderful to meet up and hear all aobut your trip! We saw the movie “The Way” and thought of you!! Have you seen it? Keep enjoying the journey! Lisa and Joe xx
